DTS, IMAX In Certification, Licensing Deal

Calabasas-based surround sound and audio technology developer DTS --which is now a unit of Xperi--and IMAX Corporation announced this morning that the two are in a partnership, where they will launch a new certification and licensing program aimed at consumers. According to the companies, they have launched the IMAX Enhanced program, a new certification and licensing program which combines both DTS audio technology, as well as IMAX digitally re-mastered 4K HDR content.

Shamrock Capital Sells RBmedia To KKR

Los Angeles-based private equity investor Shamrock Capital announced on Friday that it has sold one of its portfolio companies, RBmedia , to another private equity company, KKR. Financial details of the deal were not announced. RBmedia is a publisher of audiobooks, and is based in Landover, Maryland. RBmedia's audiobooks are available via smart phones, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Echo, Google Home, and smart watches.

OncoSec Finds $15M In Investment

San Diego-based cancer immunotherapy developer OncoSec Medical announced this morning that it has raised $15M in an investment in the publicly held company. OncoSec, which is publicly traded on the NASDAQ as ONCS, said it secure the $15M investment from Alpha Holdings, via a strategic investment. The company said the funding is centered on the clinical development of OncoSec's lead immunotherapy product candidate, TAVO (tavokinogene telseplasmid).
