Los Angeles-based Eyellusion , which conducts "hologram music tours" that feature such deceased celebrities as Frank Zappa, Ronnie James Dio and others, has raised $2M in a seed funding round. The funding came from Thomas Dolan, part of the family that owns Madison Square Garden and AMC Networks. The company said Dolan joins as an advisor to the company.

We can all agree that 2017 was a brutal year for cybersecurity. Verizon’s Data Breach Investigation Report identified passwords as the root cause of more than 81 percent of breaches in 2016 – an 18 percent increase from the previous year. And, it’s a safe guess that this year, the percentage will grow. Santa Monica-based videogame publisher Activision announced on Thursday afternoon that it will release its latest game in its popular Call of Duty games, the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 , on October 12th. The new game was developed by game studio Treyarch. Activision says that its Call of Duty games have over 200 million players, who have racked up a total of more than 15 billion hours of gameplay.

Hawthorne-based SpaceX is planning to launch another rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base on Tuesday, as part of a continuing series of launches for satellite operator Iridium. SpaceX is slated to launch five Iridium satellites, plus two satellites for NASA and a German research partner with the launch, which is currently targeted for May 22nd at 12:47:58 p.m.
