Newport Beach-based Raptor Scientific , a provider of testing and measurement products for the aerospace and defense market, said on Wednesday that it has acquired Sensor Concepts, Inc. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Sensor Concepts is a provider of products used for radar cross-section (RCS) measurements. Raptor Scientific is owned by private equity firm L Squared Capital Partners, which founded the company in 2019.

Viasat Wins Deal With UK's Royal Navy

San Diego-based satellite communications provider Viasat reported a win with the UK's Royal Navy this morning, saying it will provide the ultra high frequency satellite communications equipment on a Royal Navy Type 31 Frigate. Financial details of the contract were not announced. The company said it will provide Ultra High Frequency (UHF) satellite communications (SATCOM) for the new Type 31 frigates, to be delivered by Babcock Team 31, for the Royal Navy.

San Diego-based cloud communications provider Voxox reported this week that it has expanded its reach in Costa Rica, via a new partnership with business phone systems provider RING.CR. The company said that RING.CR will white label its Voxox Cloud Phone service, and will offer it up to its small business customers in Costa Rica. The two said they will offer up local numbers to those businesses, letting those businesses place and receive calls, manage call activity, and other features.
