Los Angeles-based ImaginAb , which develops imaging technology being used in cancer assessment, says it has signed a multi-party collaboration agreement with AstraZeneca , Pfizer , and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited. ImaginAb said the deal is focused on furthering clinical development of its CD8 ImmunoPET technology, which is used for quantitative assessment of the immunological status of each cancer lesion within a patient.

The founder of Los Angeles-based electric car company Faraday Future , Yueting Jia, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy--in a move which will also move Yueting Jia's equity ownership in Faraday Future into a trust for his creditors. According to Faraday Future, the move "will not affect" any of the company's normal business operations. Farady said the move will provide Yueting Jia with personal debts, and also help Faraday Future with its equity finance efforts and to "prepare for an IPO".

Pelion Venture Partners , a venture capital firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah, is expanding its efforts into Southern California, and has named Jeff Kearl as Managing Director in the region for the firm. Pelion has made investments in such companies as Domo, Redhat, Riverbed, MX Logic, and others. Kearl was most recently CEO of Stance, an online clothing retailer.

El Segundo-based CUJO AI , a developer of artificial intelligence software, has launched a new product aimed at providing network analytics to broadband operators. The software company--which is backed by KPN Ventures--says that its new product, Lens, provides network analytics for network operators, providing them with near real-time, granular and dynamic analysis of how customers are using their home or business networks.
