Russian Cows To Be Fully Wired With Semtech's LoRa Technology

Somewhere in Russia, there will soon be one (or many) herds of fully wired, trackable cows--thanks to a design win by Camarillo-based Semtech , with a Russian Internet-of-Things firm called lar.tech. According to Semtech, its LoRa wireless technology has been used to create an Internet of Things (IoT) cattle monitoring solution which uses its devices and wireless radio frequency technology to provide GPS tracking and biometrics sensors for cattle, which is being rolled out to ranchers.

SpaceX Aims At Sunday For New Vandenberg Launch

Hawthorne-based SpaceX is hoping that it will be able to launch its Spaceflight SSO-A mission on Sunday, five days after it was force to scrub its original Wednesday launch date for the small satellite launch mission. According to the last update from SpaceX, it is now targeting December 2nd for launch of the SmallSat Express from Vandenberg Air Force Base.

AT&T is looking to possibly sell its 10 percent stake in Los Angeles-based television streaming service Hulu , as part of its plan on digesting Time Warner.
