Santa Monica headquartered outsourcing service TaskUs Inc. announced Aug. 23 it will expand operations to Albuquerque, N.M., a move expected to create roughly 700 jobs.

Los Angeles-based Fullscreen has named a new vice president, the company disclosed this week. Fullscreen named Stu Smith as VP of Talent for the company, which develops online video content. Smith was most recently at Omaze, a company which develops fundraising software, and reportedly will work on developing strategic programs for Fullscreen's talent clients.

Los Angeles-based digital advertising firm H Code , which focuses on the U.S. Hispanic market, has signed a deal with media and publishing company Metro LATAM. Metro LATAM is the Latin American division of Metro International. According to H Code, it will exclusively represent all ad inventory in the US for Metro LATAM's sites in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Chile, and Colombia.

Calabasas-based DTS , which develops surround sound and other audio technology, said it has signed up a new hardware partner for its DTS Play-Fi technology. DTS Play-Fi allows manufacturers to implement their own wireless, whole-home audio systems. DTS--which is now a subsidiary of Xperi Corporation--said that it has signed up International Audio Group (IAG), a hardware partner which owns the Audiolab, Mission, QUAD and Wharfedale brands, as a partner.

Broadcom , which has significant operations in Orange County, said this morning that it has received approval of the company's proposed acquisition of CA Technologies , after the expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976. Broadcom had announced its intent to acquisition CA Technologies on July 11th.
