Kajabi Gets Funding From Spectrum Equity

Irvine-based Kajabi , which develops a platform that helps both individuals, as well as small- and mid-sized businesses monetize online courses, training materials, and other content, has receive an investment from private equity investor Spectrum Equity. Financial details of the minority growth investment were not announced. Kajabi said the funding is its first institutional funding since it launched in 2010.

Report: Ring Video Doorbell Had Exposed Wi-Fi Passwords

According to a security report from BitDefender, it discovered a major security breach in the software of Santa Monica-based video doorbell and security camera maker Ring. Apparently, Ring--now owned by Amazon--had been sending the passwords of a user's Wi-Fi network in plain text, making it possible for hackers to intercept a user's Wi-Fi password.
