WebPurify Launches Image Moderation Service

Los Angeles-based WebPurify , which provides online content moderation services, said it has launched a new, automated image moderation service to help screen user generated content for nudity. According to WebPurify, its automated intelligent moderation (AIM) service uses machine learning and computer vision for real-time automated moderation of images for its clients, and is in addition to its existing human moderation services.

Size of the funding was not announced. The company says it expects its IPO price to be between $12.00 and $14.00 per share. The company has filed to trade as AXY on the New York Stock Exchange. SpaceX Plans Another Launch Tonight

Hawthorne-based SpaceX is getting set for yet another launch of one of its Falcon rockets, this time a satellite launch for EchoStar. According to SpaceX, it is targeting the launch of the EchoStar XXIII from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida tonight, at 1:34 a.m. EDT. The launch is the second from Kennedy Space Center. SpaceX said it does not intend to land this Falcon 9's first stage, due to mission requirements.
