County Looks to Lead on Amazon Headquarters Proposal

TP-Link Rolls Out Wi-Fi Camera

Brea-based networking and consumer electronics manufacturer TP-Link said today that it has rolled out a new addition to its smart home line of products, a new 1080p, "smart" Wi-Fi camera. According to TP-Link, its new KC120 Kasa Cam is aimed at helping consumers monitor and protect their home, andosts $129.99. The new camera is TP-Link's first camera for the smart home market, and features two way audio and night vision, among other features.

Irvine-based storage products maker Western Digital said today that it has expanded its line of WD Gold hard drives, to include a new, 12TB hard drive, specifically for Big Data applications, enterprise, and cloud applications. According to WD, the new hard drives have a 2.5 million hour MTBF (mean time between failures), which it says is among the highest in its hard drive portfolio.

Northrop Grumman Adds to Growing Cybersecurity Hub in San Antonio

San Antonio —Northrop Grumman, the military contractor that makes everything from cybersecurity systems to fighter planes, has signed a five-year lease on a new property at Port San Antonio, where officials are trying to entice more cybersecurity businesses to move. Northrop (NYSE: NOC ) is going to occupy a 7,700 square-foot building at the Port, which was established as a public entity to attract new businesses and jobs to San Antonio by redeveloping an old 1,900-acre Air Force base.

CalAmp said that Car Security, a LoJack licensee in Argentina, has will offer up its vehicle risk management services for both insurance companies and consumers in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.
