Simi Valley-based AeroVironment , which develops unmanned aircraft, said on Tuesday that it is acquiring Telerob Gesellschaft fur Fernhantierungstechnik mbH (Telerob), a developer of ground robots. AeroVironment said it will pay approximately $45.4 million in cash, and will pay-off approximately $9.4 million in Telerob's debt at closing. Musk has spent much of his time in Los Angeles, since founding SpaceX, in addition to Silicon Valley.
