Los Angeles-based AllVoices , a new startup which helps companies collect anonymous feedback on such areas as harassment, bullying, bias, and other problems in their organizations, has raised $3M in a seed funding round, the company said on Thursday. The startup said the funding came from Crosscut Ventures, Greycroft Ventures, Halogen Ventures, and Vitalize VC.

Scripps Research is charting new territory with its Calibr division, a drug discovery and drug development group within the research institute that is advancing its own experimental treatments. Hawthorne-based SpaceX is planning to spin off its satellite launch arm, Starlink , via an IPO, according to Bloomberg. SpaceX has been launching a massive fleet of thousands of satellites into space to provide Internet access across the globe. The plans for a potential IPO and spinout of Starlink came from SpaceX's President Gwynne Shotwell, at a JPMorgan Chase & Co. event, according to Bloomberg.

Los Angeles-based car leasing service Fair , and on-demand ride service Uber will no longer work together to connect Uber drivers with Fair's services, according to a report on Thursday. According to Fair, the move came due "to an unexpected increase in insurance premiums" which would have affected its rideshare drivers. Fair says it will wind down its weekly ridesharing service over the next few months.
