Reliam Gets $75M For Managing The Public Cloud

Los Angeles-based Reliam , which provides managed services to help companies manage their operation on public cloud services like Amazon Web Services, has received a $75M commitment from private equity investor Great Hill Partners. According to the companies, the funding will go towards funding acquisitions, as well as for organic growth. As part of the investment, Simon Anderson, the former CEO of DreamHost of co-founder and chairman of InkTank, has joined the company as CEO.

Bridg Names New CTO

Los Angeles-based Bridg has named a new CTO, saying today that Rony Sawdayi has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer. Sawdayi was previously Vice President of Engineering at Bizrate Insights Inc. Bridg said that Sawdayi will report to Amit Jain, the company's CEO. Bridg develops software that uses point-of-sale (POS) data to drive personalized marketing campaigns.

LA Gets Another New Startup Venture Capital Firm, 3Rodeo

Los Angeles-based 3Rodeo , a brand venture capital investment firm led by former Hulu executive Noah Heller, says it is targeting investments in startups in Los Angeles. Size of the new fund was not announced. 3Rodeo has invested so far in Fair, the car buying startup led by Scott Painter; Mira, which makes augmented reality glasses; and a food startup which helps recommend meals, personalized for users.

Cyber Monday Sales Hit $6.59 Billion, Says Adobe

Online sales on Cyber Monday hit a record $6.59 billion, the largest online sales day in history, according to numbers released by Adobe late Monday evening. According to Adobe, the spending represents a 16.8 percent year-over-year increase in online sales, as of 10:00 p.m. ET. Adobe said that the numbers for Cyber Monday exceeded Black Friday, which had $5.03 billion in sales, and Thanksgiving Day, where there was $2.87 billion in sales.
