Uber Plans Flying Taxis In Los Angeles By 2020

On-demand ridesharing service Uber hopes to bring flying taxis to Los Angeles by 2020, the company said this morning, and has just signed a contract with the U.S. National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA) on software that would help support those flying taxi efforts. According to Uber, Los Angeles will be the second test market for its ultra-high speed, 200-mile-per-hour flying taxi service, which would tap vertical-take-off-and-landing (VTOL) aircraft developed by other companies.
