Esri Extends Reach In Middle East, Africa

Redland-based GIS software developer Esri is expanding its reach in the Middle East and Africa, with a new relationship with NXN (formerly neXgen), the companies said this morning. NXN is a provider of consulting and digital services in the Middle East and Africa, focused on "smart city" consulting. Esri said that NXN will embed its ArcGIS platform and other technology in its services.

Ingenu Boots CEO, Shifts Direction

San Diego-based Ingenu , the developer of Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology, said this morning that it has replaced its CEO, John Horn, effective immediately. According to Ingenu, it has named its Chairman, Babak Razi, as Interim CEO. Razi is Managing Partner at Third Wave Ventures. Ingenu said it will be "realigning its corporate structure" and "refine its strategic direction".

StackIQ Acquired By Teradata

San Diego-based StackIQ , a developer of "bare metal" provisioning software, has been acquired by Teradata , Teradata said on Thursday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. StackIQ was venture backed by Anthem Venture Partners, Grayhawk Capital, Avalon Ventures, and crowdfunding site OurCrowd. According to Teradata, the deal also includes StackIQ's team of engineers, who will join the company's R&D organization.
