Soraa Deploys In UK Museum

Soraa , the developer of Gallium Nitride (GaN) LED lighting technology, based on research out of UC Santa Barbara, has deployed its products at a museum in the United Kingdom. Soraa said its lighting systems are now being used at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England, which the company says is the world's oldest public museum. Soraa's LED lighting systems are being used to replace what had been a halogen powered light generator system.

Los Angeles-based cloud and web hosting operator Media Temple said this morning that it has named Lou Kikos as the company's new Vice President of Marketing. Kikos was most recently at iRise, and also had served at CC Information Services, and co-founded The Magis Group. Media Temple focuses on providing its web hosting to web designers, developers, app publishers, creative agencies and enterprises.

This morning, 165 U.S. biotech leaders have signed a letter voicing “deep concern and opposition” to the order, which bars entry to the U.S. to refugees and immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries. Santa Barbara-based QAD said this morning that its QAD Automation Solutions software has received Honda "Approved Software" status. According to QAD, Honda North America requires all of its original equipment manufactured parts suppliers to use an authorized integrated electronic data interchange (EDI), barcode and demand management solution. QAD says its software now meets those standards.
