Framework Benchmarks Round 16

Now in its fifth year, the TechEmpower Framework Benchmarks project has another official round of results available. Round 16 is a real treat for anyone who likes big numbers. Not just in measured results per second (several metric crap tonne), but in number of tests measured (~1830), number of framework permutations tested (~464), number of languages included (26), and total execution time of the test suite (67 hours, or 241 billion microseconds to make that sound properly enormous).

Rocket Lab Shifts Window For Next Launch

Huntington Beach-based satellite launch rocket developer Rocket Lab has set the launch window for its next rocket mission, saying last week that its next launch will occur between June 23rd and July 6th. The company says the mission--called "It's Business Time"--was moved after "unusual behavior" was detected in a motor controller in its rocket. The mission originally had been planned to happen between April 20th and May 3rd.

Headspace Targets Digital Medicine Market

Santa Monica-based Headspace , which develops mindfulness and meditation apps, says it is targeting the medical market with the launch of a new, digital medicine subsidiary it calls "Headspace Health". According to Headspace, the new subsidiary will look to incorporate its meditation apps into digital medicine, with plans to deliver a prescription meditation app in 2020.
