Respawn Entertainment Acquired By EA For Up To $455M

Los Angeles-based game studio Respawn Entertainment , best known for its development of the title Titanfall, has been acquired by Electronic Arts , the two said on Thursday afternoon. EA said it will pay $151M in cash, and up to $164M in long term equity to employees, for Respawn, plus up to $140M in performance-based milestone payments--for a deal which could be worth up to $455M. Respawn Entertainment was led by Vince Zampella, and was based in Sherman Oaks.
