SpaceX Delays Satellite Launch Mission From Vandenberg

Hawthorne-based SpaceX has just delayed its upcoming satellite launch mission--of the Spaceflight SSO-A: SmallSat Express --due to the incoming weather system into California. According to SpaceX, the launch is being delayed to extreme high-altitude winds that violate its Range requirements. The mission had been scheduled to launch on Wednesday from Vandenberg Air Force Base, north of Santa Barbara.

Disney, Google Ink New Advertising Deal

Google and The Walt Disney Company said on Tuesday that the two companies have inked a new, global strategic relationship, where Disney will move its digital video and display business onto Google's Ad Manager. Google said that Disney will use Google as its core ad technology platform, where Google will power the advertising for all of Disney's properties, including Disney, ABC, ESPN, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars, including live streaming, direct-to-consumer content, mobile apps, and live events.

Financial details of the buy were not disclosed.

SpaceX Aims At Sunday For New Vandenberg Launch

Hawthorne-based SpaceX is hoping that it will be able to launch its Spaceflight SSO-A mission on Sunday, five days after it was force to scrub its original Wednesday launch date for the small satellite launch mission. According to the last update from SpaceX, it is now targeting December 2nd for launch of the SmallSat Express from Vandenberg Air Force Base. The mission will put 64 small satellites, collected together by space ride arranger Spaceflight, for over 35 customers.

Vertone In Licensing Deal With Cumulus Media

Costa Mesa-based a href="[link] , the developer of artificial intelligence software for the advertising industry led by Chad and Ryan Steelberg, said this morning that it has signed an expanded agreement with Cumulus Media, the second largest owner and operator of radio stations in the U.S. According to Veritone, it is licensing its artificial intelligence technology, to quantify the results of advertising campaigns on Cumulus Media channels.
