Break Media Launches Screenwriting Contest With Scripped

TrueCar Gets Investment from Guthy-Renker

Santa Monica-based TrueCar , the online car pricing site headed by Scott Painter, has scored a new, equity investment and partnership with direct marketing firm Guthy-Renker , the firm announced today. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Carlsbad-based ViaSat , which provides satellite communications and broadband services, said today that it has reached a deal with JetBlue Airways , to provide high-speed, in-flight Internet access. ViaSat said the contract calls for an initial equipment and services order for over $30M, to outfit JetBlue's fleet of 170 aircraft with Ka-band airborne terminals and services.
