SpaceX Launches 60 More Starlink Satellites Into Space

Hawthorne-based SpaceX successfully launched sixty more of its Starlink satellites on Wednesday evening, with another launch and landing from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The launch, which took place at 9:25 p.m. EDT, used a Falcon 9 rocket which previously had been launched multiple times--including the Telstar 18 VANTAGE mission in September 2018, the Iridium-8 mission in January 2019, and two separate Starlink missions in May 2019 and in January 2020.

According to TeleSign, Skype will implement Telesign's digital identity solution, called Score, to take action against calls that are likely of a fraudulent origin. Santa Monica-based on-demand scooter company Bird has shut down its operations in the Middle East, according to reports, shutting down Circ, which it had acquired in January, and laid off all of its employees. Bird had only just acquired Circ in January, shortly before the world was hobbled by the pandemic. According to those reports, as many as 10,000 of Circ's scooters have been sent for recycling, and around 100 employees laid off.
