Strategic Wireless Acquires Cell Tower Portfolio In Louisiana, Wisconsin

Costa Mesa-based Strategic Wireless (Strategic Wireless Infrastructure Funds Management, LLC) said this week that it has acquired two, separate portfolio of cell towers, real estate, and other related assets. Financial terms oft he acquisition were not announced. The company said the acquisition was made through affiliate SWI Funds Tower Holdings, LLC. Those cell towers receive rental revenues from national and regional wireless carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular.

350,000 Ring Doorbells Recalled Over Fire Hazard

Around 350,000 doorbells from Santa Monica-based Ring has just been recalled by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), over the possibility that they can pose a fire and burn hazard. According to the CPSC notice, about 350,000 Ring doorbells sold in the United States--and another 8,700 in Canada--are prone to an overheated battery when the incorrect screws are used for installation.
