FTC Files Suit To Block Microsoft's Activision Blizzard Buy

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) said on Thursday that it is looking to block the acquisition of Santa Monica-based Activision Blizzard by Microsoft Corp., saying the buy will "harm competition in high-performance gaming consoles and subscription services". According to the FTC, the $69 billion deal will "enable Microsoft to suppress competitors to its Xbox gaming consoles and its rapidly growing subscription content and cloud-gaming business.

A crypto scammer--who stole $22M from blockchain advisor Michael Terpin--is now facing up to 18 months in prison for his role in a 2018 SIM-swapping incident. 25-year-old Nicholas Truglia, who resides in New York, was just one of a larger criminal group that apparently targeted Terpin. Company Plans Offshore Wind Farm Off Central Coast

A wind energy development company, based in Chicago, said it has secured an offshore wind lease off of the Central California Coast. According to Invenergy California Offshore LLC, it has secured a lease for 80,418 acres of seabed for operating an offshore wind development. THe bid was worth $145.3M.
