Hawthorne-based SpaceX has applied to deploy an additional 30,000 Starlink satellites , in addition to an existing 12,000 it has already gotten approval for from the Federal Communications Communications (FCC). The network of low-earth orbit satellites are intended to provide broadband for the entire globe. SpaceX has already deployed the first 60 of its satellites, in its first deployment of those satellites.
