Los Angeles ranks number six in a recent survey by Irvine-based recruiting firm CyberCoders. The firm, which provides technology recruiting services nationwide, found that the average salary for technology jobs in Los Angeles was $97,705.

Hulu said the company updated its video player with one which is 55 percent larger, in addition to a number of other UI changes. Live Nation Sets Up Venture Investment Fund

Los Angeles-based ticketing and concert management firm Live Nation is getting into the early stage investment business, announcing Wednesday that it has established the LN Labs Fund , which will invest in early stage technologies and entrepreneurs. The firm said the company is interested in funding "great new products that further engage fans and enrich the concert experience." Size of the fund was not announced.

Hulu Signs Global Distribution Deal

Los Angeles-based Hulu has inked a deal to distribute its original content to the international market, the firm said Monday, in a deal with FremantleMedia Enterprises. Hulu said the deal calls for FremantleMedia to handle distribution rights to its original content internationally, including distributing the content over traditional media. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Slacker Offers Free NCAA Streaming Radio

The deal between streaming music service Slacker and ESPN , which the two brokered in September last year, is about to go into overdrive this week, as Slacker said it will provide free, streaming radio access to all 67 games of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship via its service.
