Santa Barbara-based RingRevenue , the pay-per-call technology provider headed by Jason Spievak, has been powering a pay-per-call system for education marketer CUnet. CUNet is a higher education marketer based in Paramus, NJ. RingRevenue is backed by GRP Partners and Rincon Venture Partners.

According to the two, they will partner to deliver live voice leads to national lead buyers in higher education, insurance, and financial services. RingRevenue is backed by GRP Partners and Rincon Venture Partners, and is led by Jason Spievak. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.

The first two years of the program focused on education & mentorship. There were regular events where experts talked about: fund raising, term sheets, constructing a team, product development, establishing biz dev partners, M&A, dealing with the press, etc. This education will continue. So we went ahead.

My personal favorite and best fit for GRP Partners was Thumbtack. The problem is that to really fix education you’d need to reform incentives and pay in addition to better teacher training. Udemy is an online education platform similar to EduFire and others. Thumbtack is marketplace for local services.
