Raytheon Moves Headquarters From El Segundo

In what is not a surprise for Southern California''s shift away from the industry, defense contractor Raytheon said Thursday that it is shutting down its business headquarters locations in El Segundo, and moving its Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business headquarters to McKinney, Texas. Raytheon said the move is part of an effort to streamline operations, increase productivity, and to "achieve stronger alignment" with its customers.
ConsumerTrack Expands In El Segundo, Ramps Hiring

According to ConsumerTrack, it has moved into a new office wich has room for over 100 employees, and which also includes a custom gym and video studio to expand its production facilities.
Kite Pharma Opens New Facility In El Segundo

Santa Monica-based biopharmaceuticals developer Kite Pharma has opened up a new, 43,500 square foot manufacturing facility in El Segundo, the company said today, to manufacture its cancer immunotherapy products. According to Kite Pharma, the new facility will support production of its chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) and T-cell receptor (TCR) product candidates for clinical trials, along with commercial launch of its lead T-cell product candidate, KTE-C19.

iRise Rolls Out Free iOS App Prototyping Product

El Segundo-based iRise , the developer of enterprise visual prototyping tools, looks to be looking to broaden the use of its products, saying today that it has released a free version of its tool to allow users to prototype iPad and iPhone applications. The firm--whose products previously were only available as pricey enterprise software--said its new iRise Studio MX will allow entrpereneurs to quickly and inexpensively prototype new iPad and iPhone mobile app ideas.

DIRECTV, Panasonic Fund 3D Films

El Segundo-based satellite TV operator DIRECTV and consumer electronics firm Panasonic said Tuesday that the two will be funding six 3D films, as part of an effort to train filmmakers on 3D equipment. The companies said they will provide filmmakers with Panasonic 3D cameras, 3D monitors, storage, access to DIRECTV's post production facilities, as well as an unspecified production budget in the effort.

PCM provides products to the business market, and has approximately $1.4 pcmall cloud hosting products PCM said the new data center will provide Tier II space for managed hosting and cloud IT services, which it provides to its customers. PCM said the new data center is on 7.9 acres of land it purchase back in December of 2012.
GoGuardian Takes On Chromebook Management For Schools

El Segundo-based International Rectifier , the developer of power conversion semiconductors, has been acquired by Infineon , in a deal worth $3 billion in cash. Infineon said the deal would help bolster its expertise in compound semiconductors and drive greater economies of scale in production. Infineon said that it will pay $40 in cash per share for publicly held IRF.
