GeoLinks Gets Private Equity Injection

Camarillo-based wireless internet service provider (WISP) GeoLinks has scored private equity backing, saying on Tuesday that it has received private equity funding from Rock Mountain Capital. Size of the investment was not announced. According to GeoLinks, the funding will go twoards network expansion plans, plus go to strategic acquisition and to streamline internal growth and operations. GeoLinks is led by co-founder and CEO Skyler Ditchfield. The company provides fixed wireless, broadband connections both in rural areas as well as to customers who do not have easy access to high speed Internet. GeoLinks says it has the largest coverage area of any single fixed wireless Internet provider in California.
