MaC Venture Capital Launches $103M Seed Fund

Los Angeles- and Palo Alto-based MaC Venture Capital has launched a new, $103M seed stage investment fund today, saying it plans to invest in technology startups across the fintech, e-commerce and marketplaces, interactive media, connectivity, enterprise SaaS, space and aerospace, logistics, and other sectors. The firm said it is majority Black-owned, and will employ cultural investment framework, using business and consumer trend research to identify companies that are "leveraging shifts in culture and behavior". The new firm is led by Adrian Fenty, Marlon Nichols, Michael Palank, and Charles D. King. Nichols previously founded venture capital firm Cross Culture Ventures; Fenty, Palank, and King co-foudned venture firm M Ventures.
