Santa Barbara-based startup SendMeHome.com , which provides a free service to help people retrieve their lost items, has launched a new social feature the firm says will help connect people through objects. Google likes these entries, as evidenced by the significant organic traffic it consistently drives to them. For instance, I was recently asked by Inc.com to write a weekly column. I will also increase the amount of video content, including snippets from talks given by my UC Santa Barbara classroom guest speakers.

Santa Barbara-based SendMeHome (www.sendmehome.com) is looking to solve that problem, with a free service to print out labels which attach to your item, and where you can register items in case they are lost. Why not just write your phone number or information on an item? How do you get those items back? One, is it's anonymous.

If I write back, and tell them to stay at the Marriott in Del Mar, we would detect the Marriott Del Mar in your message, whether that's on Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, in a text message, in an email, or whatever, and convert that into a link to one of our merchants who are part of the Wildfire network. What does that look like?

We'll even write a half a million check. We just did a deal with Rincon Ventures on a deal in Santa Barbara, and we're partnering with other firms on deals, and we'd like to see more. Outside of Google, they've been one of the most successful companies over the last five or six years, in my opinion. That as unhealthy.
