myRight Helps Answer Legal Questions, Online

Have a legal question? A new, Los Angeles startup, myRight, is hoping to help users with some basic legal questions, through a new service geared around asking users questions-and-answers about their legal questions. The startup, part of the StartEngine accelerator, asks users a series of questions around different topics -- things like security deposits, wills, gun control -- helping users to learn more about different topics, and also referring them to more detailed information sources and lawyers. The startup said the firm was inspired by the founders' experience working in pro-bono legal clinics, where they found clients kept on having the same questions, day-after-day. The company said its advisory board includes Frank Monestere, President/COO of Legalzoom; Michael Chasalow, Law professor at USC; and Brian Hirai, a former law partner.
