SmartDrive Systems Snags Former Veoh CEO

Mitgang was previously CEO of Veoh, and also had served at Senior Vice President of Yahoo!'s SmartDrive develops systems which are used by fleet managers to record road data, which helps improve safety, fuel efficiency, and reduce collisions. San Diego-based SmartDrive Systems said Monday that it has named Steve Mitgang as its new CEO.

Koji Connects With $20M More

San Diego-based Koji, which develops an app store for helping creators earn money, said late Tuesday that it has raised $20M in its Series B fundraising. Shapiro previously founded the video sharing site Veoh, and also was the CTO of MySpace, in addition to serving at Google. The company says it has now raised a total of $36M.
