Upfront Summit Delayed Due To COVID-19 Surge

The Upfront Summit, the high tech and venture capital company run by Upfront Ventures, has been delayed, the latest victim of resurging COVID-19 numbers and the Omicron variant. According to conference organizers, in an email to ticket holders, the summit has been postponed for at least five weeks, to March 1st and 2nd, rather than its original event dates of January 26th and 27th. The invite-only event had been scheduled to be held at the Banc of California Stadium in Expo Park. COVID-19 has caused countless cancellations of events since 2020, and the Southern California tech industry has yet to hold any large-scale conferences or events since the beginning of the pandemic, although there have been a number of smaller, private events occurring since vaccines became widely available earlier in 2021. Upfront's last tech conference, in 2020, was held at the Rose Bowl.
