Armata Pharmaceuticals Gets $7.0M Investment

Marina Del Rey-based Armata Pharamceuticals, a biotechnology company developing therapeutics for antibiotic-resistant and difficult-to-treat bacterial infections, said it has received $3.0M in an equity investment from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CF Foundation). According to Armata Pharmaceuticals, it was also receive $4.0 million from Innoviva Strategic Opportunities LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Innoviva. The company said the funds will be used to further advance development of its lead candidate.
