Machinima Wiped From The Internet As Entire YouTube Channel Set To Private

In an unprecedented move, Otter Media, the new owner of Machinima, has set the entire Machinima YouTube channel to "private", effectively wiping the entire history of content created for the content network from the Internet. The sudden move over the weekend caught many YouTubers unaware, taking years of content off Youtube. The removal of Machinima's content from YouTube follows a major layoff and restructuring of Otter Media in December by AT&T. That move resulted in layoffs of employees across Otter Media, the removal of many Machinima creators, and shifting of many contracts to Fullscreen. Machinima had been part of Warner Bros. Digital Networks, and was popular for its gaming-related content and its streaming by gamers and other fans.
