MySpace is one of the world’s largest social networks, with about 125 million users. What are the best startup events in LA? It’s been my experience that the more focused and intimate events far ‘out-perform’ (however you’d like to characterize it) the mega-conferences.

We are also home to DemandMedia (Richard Rosenblatt) and Mahalo (Jason Calacanis). The closing event was the filming of a live version of Jason Calacanis’ “This Week in Start-Ups” (appropriately named TWiST – episode is here ). We have accomplished much yet have much work to do.

Eventvue (We use them for MOTM and Digital Family events. It’s a great event based social network, and they have a new app called “Discover&# I’m excited to use. Essential for an event promoter. Mahalo (Mark Jeffrey and the gang are super cool and I dig that they made a custom page for me, ha!).
