Twiistup , the popular Los Angeles technology showcase and networking event started by Mike Macadaan, is announcing today that the event has been sold to a undisclosed, private investor. According to Twiistup, it will expand beyond its showoff events to include a full conference agenda, and also be expanding to similar events in other cities.

Richard Rosenblatt , the CEO of Los Angeles-based Demand Media said today at the Twiistup conference in Los Angeles, that he sees an IPO as a possible opportunity for the firm. Los Angeles-based Demand Media , the online content publishing firm run by Richard Rosenblatt, has reportedly selected Goldman Sachs to run its IPO effort, according to a report this evening from the Financial Times. The report says that Demand Media has hired Goldman Sachs to explore an initial public offering for the firm.

Santa Monica-based Tsavo , the online media company which owns Manolith, Twirlit, Kidglue, and Nibbledish, has lost its Vice President of Product and Design, Mike Macadaan. Macadaan is well known in the Los Angeles technology community for creating and running Twiistup, the popular Los Angeles technology networking and startup showcase event.
