Sony Offers Up COVID-19 Relief To Creative Organizations

San Diego-based Sony Electronics says it is making donations for COVID-19 pandemic relief, to a number of creative organizations. Sony did not say how much it donated to the groups, but said it is providing funds to The Sports Video Group, an international association for sports-television professionals, and specifically the group's charitable SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund, which helps sports production professionals who have found themselves unable to work due to injury, illness or disaster, to help offset medical expenses for members of the community who have been impacted by COVID-19. Sony also said it is providing support to the International Cinematographers Guild – I.A.T.S.E. (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) Local 600; The American Society of Cinematographers; The Canadian Society of Cinematographers; as well as globally, Sports Video Group Europe, IMAGO and Japan Society of Cinematographers in Japan.
