Venice Beach-based Signal Sciences (www.signalsciences.com) has created sofdtware designed for those application developers to help protect those web applications. Not to plug myself, but I've done some writing and published a book with O'Reilly, talking about security misconceptions. In that world, the risk of security holes is huge.

Amplify provides seed stage capital to the tune of $50,000 to $150,000 in companies with a viable product that are demonstrating some degree of traction.

I spoke a lot about the need for “personal branding” which I plan to write about soon. But the problem with being all in – all in for me, let’s say I can write $10 to $12 million per company. If I write $2 million and we hit a bump in the road, I can write another $2 million. Am I allowed to say this?
