Amionx Finds Funding For Lithium-ion Battery Technology

Carlsbad-based mionx, a developer of lithium-ion battery technology, says it has received a Series B financing round. Size of the investment was not announced. The funding came from existing investor Qualcomm Ventures LLC, as well as Hongkou Management and Inherent Group, along with other investors. The company said the funding will go to accelerate transfer of its technology to lithium-ion battery manufacturers. Amionx is led by CEO Jenna King. The company said its battery technology helps prevent thermal runaway issues in lithium-ion batteries. More information »
