Parabol Picks Up $4M For Software Tools

Los Angeles-based Parabol, a startup developing software management tools, used to manage the efforts of development teams, has raised $4M in a funding round, the company said this morning. The funding came from CRV, Haystack, and the SlackFund. The company--which moved here from Brooklyn, New York, but is mostly virtual--is led by founder and CEO Jordan Husney. The company's software helps development teams manage their processes, and is focused on Agile development processes. The company's services include free personal accounts, and premium accounts starting at $6 per month per user. The software tools are used to manage "retrospective meetings", a type of meeting run by Agile development teams used to review what happened in an iteration, identify actions for improvement, and manages the steps in conducting those meetings and reviews.
