Enevate Targets Power Tool Markets With New Batteries

Irvine-based battery technology developer Enevate says it is looking to apply its battery technology to the power tools market, in an expansion of the applications of its technology. The company, which develops silicon-dominant lithium-ion battery technology, has previously been focused on adoption of its technology for the electric vehicle (EV) market. Enevate said that it is looking at "opportunities to serve the power tool market" in the next year or two, which is far ahead of its efforts to gain adoption in the electric vehicle market. The company said it is preparing its technology to be used in 2024-2025 EV model years.
