Scopely Finds $200M In Series D Funding

Los Angeles-based mobile games developer Scopely has raised a $200M, Series D funding, which it says it will use for acquisitions, the company announed early this morning. According to Scopely, the funding was led by NewView Capital, with participation from Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and Baillie Gifford, and also included Greycroft Partners, Revolution Growth and Sands Capital Ventures. According to Scopely, it is now profitable and growing, and it will use the funding to accelerate its M&A and investment strategy to expand its portfolio of games. The company says it now has achieved more than $1 billion in lifetime revenue from such titles as Star Trek Fleet Command, Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, YAHTZEE With Buddies, and many other titles. The company was founded in 2011, and has now raised over $487M in total funding since founding. More information »
