Kareo Acquires PatientlySpeaking

Irvine-based cloud-based healthcare practice management software developer Kareo said on Thursday afternoon that it has acquired PatientlySpeaking, a developer of process automation technology for billing companies and medical practices. Financial terms of that acquisition were not announced. PatientlySpeaking was founded in 2011. According to Kareo, it will use the acquisition to expand its offerings to increase automation and efficiency. The company offers up its software to independent healthcare practices and billing companies. PatientlySpeaking's software is used for automating redundant daily tasks for those customers. Kareo is led by CEO Dan Rodrigues.
