Amazon Testing Rivian EV Delivery Vans In LA

Amazon said it has started testing electric delivery vans from Rivian on Wednesday morning, using the all electric vehicle in multiple locations in Los Angeles. According to Amazon, it hopes to have its custom electric delivery vehicles in up to 15 additional cities in 2021. Amazon did not say how many of Rivian's delivery vans will be deployed in the Los Angeles test. The e-commerce giant said it tested the vehicles four months prior to making customer deliveries, and is working with Rivian to conduct additional testing of the vehicle's performance, safety durability in various climates and geographies.
