Ingram Micro To Certify For Responsible Recycling Certification

Irvine-based information technology distributor Ingram Micro said on Monday that its IT asset disposition services arm, Ingram Micro ITAD, will certify under the e-Stewards certification standard, which is administered by the environmental advocacy organization the Basel Action Network (BAN). Ingram Micro said that all of its IT asset processing facilities worldwide will follow the e-Stewards standards within three years, in order to provide "the most responsible level of ITAD services" to its clients worldwide. The e-Stewards certification provides a set of guidelines that makes sure that used electronics are managed with what they say are the "highest standards of environmental and social responsibility."
