Fox Dealer Acquires Simplext Digital

Pasadena-based Fox Dealer, which creates custom websites for car dealerships, says it has acquired Brea-based Simplext Digital, a provider of texting products for the automotive industry. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Simplext develops a tool which lets shoppers text car dealerships, enabling a direct discussion with a sales or service representative. Fox Dealer also said that, separately, it has partnered with LetzChat, a text-and-chat platform which provides real time translation. Fox Dealer said the acquisitio of Simplext Digital will bolster its launch of Fox Chat, a live text and video service for GM Canada dealers facilitated through the General Motors Dealer Digital Solution program.
