Call of Duty: WWII Tops $1 Billion In Sales

Santa Monica-based game publisher Activision says the latest installment in its popular Call of Duty game line, Call of Duty: WWII, has just passed up $1 billion in global sales. Activision says the game is now the number one selling console video game in North America. The game publisher said that it also is behind Destiny 2, developed for the publisher by Bungie, which is ranked number 2 in terms of total sales. Activision did not release total sales on Destiny. Activisions aid that Call of Duty: WWII is so far the biggest console digital launch in the history of Activision Publishing. Activision sold $500M of the title on opening weekend alone.
