8minutenergy Completes Largest Solar Farm In California

8minuteenergy, a solar power project developer which has one if its offices in Los Angeles, says it has completed the largest solar farm in California, and among the largest in the world. According to 8minutenergy and its financing partner, Capital Dynamics, it recently completed the 328MW Mount Signal 3 Solar Farm, which is part of the larger 800 MW Mount Signal solar cluster, the largest PV project in California, but also among the largest solar power projects in the world. The combined Mount Signal solar power project will generate 1.29 billion kilowatt hours (KwH) of clean energy for residents of 15 Southern California counties, via a long term power purchase agreement with Southern California Edison. 8minuteenergy says the project is expected to generate enough energy to power over 1 million people during the daytime and reduce carbon emissions by more than 850,000 metric tons each year.
