Walt Disney Announces 2021 Accelerator Companies

Burbank-based The Walt Disney Company has announced the participants in this year's startup accelerator program at the company. According to the company, it has selected eight companies for the 2021 Disney Accelerator Program, including companies in the areas of messaging, the frontiers of technology, e-commerce, data, and personalization. The three month mentorship program has been run since 2014. According to Disney, the companies this year include AttentiveBambuser (live streamed shopping), Camp (experiential retail stores), Holler (artificial intelligence content), Illumix (augmented reality entertainment and e-commerce), Miko (robot companions for children), and Play On! Sports (live and on-demand high school sports streaming). Disney also said that it has named Bonnie Rosen, an alumni of the 2015 Disney Accelerator, as General Manager of the program. Rosen was one of the founders of FEM, Inc., which was acquired by Nielsen Gracenote.
