Ember Taps Former Dyson CEO As New CEO

Westlake Village-based Ember Technologies, which makes temperature controlled coffee mugs, says it has named a former Dyson executive as its new CEO for its consumer division. The company said it named Jim Rowan to the position, to head up marketing, sales, finance and operations for the consumer business. The company said Rowan has joined it board of directors. Ember Founder and CEO Clay Alexander will become Group CEO at Ember, and will continue to influence strategic business decisions and product development for Ember's consumer products, and will take the role of CEO of Ember's healthcare division, according to the company. Rowan also previously was head of Research In Motion (BlackBerry) from 2007 to 2012. More information »
